Distance/ open learning

Distance or open learning lets you do your learning from home or hospital using the computer. For children who have M.E. this can be great because:

You can study at home, at your own pace
You can take breaks when you need them
It can help you feel as though you have structure to your day and makes you feel more confident as you progress though the work
If you have a relapse or just have a rough phase, you can put the work aside and concentrate on getting back on top of your illness

There is a wide variety of courses available for all different ages and abilities. Think about the length of the course, does it cost anything and how flexible it is, as these will all affect your learning. These organisations can offer information and advice.
