Urban Dude
You're into the urban, skate-boarder look and like to wear kit from Route
One. You're impressed by cartoon and graffiti-style artwork - you might even
have a bash at it yourself sometimes. Bands like Nickelback and The Calling
are in your CD collection, and you've always enjoyed old Calvin and Hobbes
and Tintin annuals.
You tend to choose slightly off-the-wall reading material. Look out for The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett if you're a confident reader. If you haven't discovered Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl books, then now's your moment. His 12-year-old villain is the most ingenious criminal mastermind in history and you'll find his latest, Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code in the fantasy section. Dragonball by Akira Toriyama is funny and a bit naughty too. Look out for all these books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. Brand Boi
Music isn't your thing so much, although you don't mind Justin Timberlake or
a bit of background Chill Out stuff occasionally. Your fashion hero is David
Beckham, although you're not into his wilder experiments or the gold chunky
jewellery. You've got some Adidas, Reebok and Nike stuff in your wardrobe
although most of the time you're happy in a Gap sweatshirt and jeans. You
play a lot of computer games in your spare time and can be found in front of
the football most weekends.
It's the right time now to get your hands on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - although the word is that it's going to be even weightier than the last one. If you like more of a classic read, get hold of a copy of The Adventures of Robin Hood by Roger Lancelyn Green in paperback. Both books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. For a quick read, why not check out the book serialisation on this site!
Goth
Your room is your own place and you don't care what others might think of
it. It's dark in there, and the windows don't get opened much. You like to
burn incense sticks occasionally and love to jam candles into old bottles
and let the wax drip down the sides. You may have a pack of Tarot cards
knocking around underneath all the stuff you leave lying around.
You've dabbled a bit with dark purple nail varnish and maybe even black hair dye. Bands you're into include Slip Knot and Murder Dolls. You may have already read Phillip Pullman's Northern Lights Trilogy but look out for it if you haven't. For something a little darker there's always Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz, although you'd need to be a confident reader. All these books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. For a quick read, why not check out the book serialisation on this site!

R'n'B Honey
You've got a fantastic - mostly R'n'B - CD collection and lots of kit lying
around to keep you looking beautiful. You love to watch films with feisty
heroines - like Charlie's Angels - and think Beyonce was great in Austin
Powers. You try to keep your nails looking good - your favourite look is the
french manicure (also favoured by Victoria Beckham).
Why not look out for I stay near you, a paperback by ME Kerr? It's about a young girl from the wrong side of the tracks who falls in love with the son of the richest family in an upstate New York town. If you prefer a book you can dip in and out of, look out for Outrageous women of the Civil War by Mary Rodd Furbee. Both books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. For a quick read, why not check out the book serialisation on this site!
Preppy Chick
Your room is full of cutie soft toys and smiling snaps of your mates and
family. If you've got access to a video, you've probably got a few copies of
Friends and you'd enjoy watching Sandra Bullock in Divine Secrets of the
Ya-Ya Sisterhood. As for soaps, you love Hollyoaks and your CD collection
includes offerings from Liberty X, Blue and even a bit of Westlife.
A great read to look out for is Rabbit-proof fence by Doris Pilkington. It's based on the true story of the traumatic uprooting of three sisters from their community in north-west Australia. For a lighter read, there's always the paperback of Face it:Face it (Sweet Valley University: Super Edition). Both books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. For a quick read, why not check out the book serialisation on this site!
Punk Princess
Your room is dark and packed with stuff. If you had the chance, you'd be
happy to share it with your pets. You're a huge fan of Avril Lavigne and
maybe even Kelly Osbourne and somewhere around you've got a pack of Tarot
cards. If you were allowed - you'd feast on Pot Noodles and crispy snacks
all day long and leave the pots and wrappers lying around.
Your room is your space and you're not bothered about what others might think of it. There are masses of Buffy the Vampire Slayer books out there - both in hardback and paperback - that are hugely popular and you'd probably enjoy. If they're not quite dark enough for your tastes, look out for The Kill (Forbidden Game) by Lisa Jane Smith (and others). All these books should be available at your local library and are also available at a discounted rate from amazon.co.uk. For a quick read, why not check out the book serialisation on this site!
